Chillin with Abe and his friends at Mt Rushmore!

Saw one of the biggest landmarks in the states this weekend, what bout you? I am how home from my Mt. Rushmore trip with my host family here in the states. This post will be an all-inclusive when it comes to pictures and stuff regarding this trip. So buckle up, and get ready to get amazed by another post here at Haraldmeetsworld!

Saturday after my grad party I left Lincoln, NE and Lincoln-Lutheran where the grad party was held. I had a ton of fun there and I said hi to many people I`ve met throughout the year. I also got an awesome message that I made I top-11 all-star soccer team for the city of Lincoln. This is given by the Lincoln Journal star who gives an all-star award to the 11 best players in Lincoln for this season. Boy, am I excited bout that! I am still at cloud nine singing as I am listening to «get lucky» by Daft Punk when writing. Over to the Mt. Rushmore trip:

Travel Route Saturday:

Lincoln – Ogallala, NE. Ogallala is a city of 5000 placed around 300 miles from Lincoln. We stayed here before continuing sunday to Rapid City.

Travel route sunday:

Ogallala to Rapid City via Devil`s tower in Wyoming. This sunday we travelled even farther in car. We went and saw a load of landmarks in Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming as we travelled from Ogallala to Rapid City. We started around 6 in the morning and saw Chimney Rock first. Located in the city of Bridgeport, NE this is a Oregon Trail landmark in Nebraska and pretty famous!

Here is a picture of Chimney Rock, I am not in it but I will have some with me in later in the post.

From Bridgeport, we travelled to Alliance, NE to see a remarkable and odd attraction called Carhenge. You all know about Stonehenge, but this creation is a replica made out of cars! here`s a pic!

Later this day, I had a cool experience in Chadron, NE. We went from Alliance, an hour and a half to Chadron where we ate lunch in a public park there. My new experience was my first peanut butter n jelly sandwich. I liked it but I`ve tasted better things but oh well! here`s a pic describing my experience: (sorry it`s wrong way)

From Chadron, we had a long drive in South Dakota viewing a lot of cool stuff before we turned into a new state: WYOMING! I can cross another state off my list now as I have been in the «cowboy state» personally! Here we went to see a famous attraction called «Devil`s tower». This place is very famous, if i were to write history behind all attractions, i would be dead before im done so if you`re interested in that, google-search it yourself». Devil`s tower folks:

From Wyoming we turned out way to Rapid, City where we went to our hotel called Econo Lodge in Rapid, City. I love South Dakota to death and I hope this will be my home state as I hopefully will be studying in Sioux Falls in Augustana if that`s God´s plan for me!

MONDAY:

MT RUSHMORE!!!! The name say it all, it`s one of the most remarkable and extraordinary landmarks in the states and I got to see it! Norwegian all day, every day I say as I pose with my flag in front of my 4 new friends looking down upon me.

Here is the pics. Thanks for reading as always as always and I hope you enjoyed this special edition post I made describing one of the coolest experiences this year for me personally! I had a blast in South Dakota and again, I love the state and the people. Thanks for reading and remember the most important thing in life: to live in God`s presence, believe in Christ and experience true freedom from your sinfulness.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God loves you, he will prosper you and give you Strength since He is LOVE! (1 john 4:18). Matthew 28:16 – Believe in Christ He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Christ died for us, who will you believe on judgement day? I will stand on the side of Christ, he has defeated death and he lives with me forever in heaven after death. Who is your stronghold? Mine is my lord!

Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Have you built your house on rock when the judgement comes? I know I have, I believe in Christ as my savior and my remedy, my future and my only hope in this world.

Matthew 7:24

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Believe in Christ, and you will be saved:

ACTS 16:31

They replied, «Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved–you and your household.»

  1. Great photos! Looks like a fun trip. I’ve never even been to Mount Rushmore…. And I know what you mean about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My students in Asia thought that that was a crazy idea. But here in the States they are huge!
